The Uttar Pradesh Government is working on a target to establish 17909 Common Service Centres (CSCs) in the State Pradesh under National eGovernance Plan (NeGP). Seven zones in the State have been classified in the scheme and three Service Centre Agencies (SCAs) namely M/s SREI Infrastructure & Finance Ltd, M/s M/s CMS Computers Ltd & M/s Vayam Technologies Ltd.) selected to implement the Scheme in these seven zones (Agra, Lucknow, Moradabad, Faizabad, Varanasi, Bareilly and Kanpur). On August 31, 2011 number of CSCs installed with Online Monitoring Tool (OMT) is 4818 out of 7909 commissioned.

Further, the services being delivered through Electronic Delivery System (EDS) using digital signatures under e-District in six pilot districts have been integrated with CSCs and the services are available from CSCs in e-Districts (in three districts viz Gorakhpur, Sitapur and Raebareilly as contract with SCAs in remaining 03 districts i.e Ghaziabad, Gautambuddh Nagar and Sultanpur has been terminated). In future, the e-District scheme will be rolled-out in remaining 66 districts and the e-District services shall be integrated with the CSCs in these districts also. It will result in the delivery of all the e-District services from the CSCs. Till date approximately 30 Lakh plus digitally signed certificate has been issued in the state. Caste, Domicile, Birth, Death, Income certificates being delivered through the CSCs.
